    Alloy characteristics:

Hastelloy C22 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent antioxidant water medium capabilities, including mixed acids of wet chlorine, nitric acid, or oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. At the same time, Hastelloy C22 alloy also has ideal resistance to reducing and oxidizing environments encountered during the process. With this versatile performance, it can be used in some challenging environments or in various production purpose factories. Hastelloy C22 alloy has exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances such as iron chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, heat contaminated solutions (organic or inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater, and salt solutions. Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist grain boundary precipitation formation in the welding heat affected zone, making it suitable for many chemical process applications even in the welding state.

    Application area:

Hastelloy C22 alloy has been widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with chloride containing organic compounds. This material is particularly suitable for use in high-temperature, mixed inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosive environments.
