    Basic characteristics:

TB6 titanium alloy is a Ti-Al-V near beta type titanium alloy, containing 3% alpha stable element A1, 10% isomorphic beta stable element V, and 2% eutectoid beta stable element Fe. The nominal composition of TB6 titanium alloy has an aluminum equivalent of 4.0 and a molybdenum equivalent of 11.1. The total content of β stable elements in TB6 titanium alloy plates is close to the critical concentration (about 11%). The increase in the total content of β stable elements enhances the heat treatment strengthening ability of the alloy. A small amount of alpha stable element A1 not only further strengthens the alpha phase, but also suppresses the formation of omega phase during quenching and aging processes.

    Application area:

TB6 titanium alloy plate is used to replace 30CrMnSiA structural steel, which can reduce the structural weight by about 40%, and replacing TC4 titanium alloy can reduce the structural weight by about 20%. TB6 titanium alloy has been widely used in aircraft and helicopter manufacturing. TB6 titanium alloy was first applied in civil and military aircraft such as Boeing 757, A320, B-1B, Mirage 2000, etc; The extensive use of TB6 titanium alloy in the new Boeing 777 aircraft and the super Lynx multi-purpose helicopter truly demonstrates the enormous potential of its application in the aerospace industry.
