  • Alloy 617 Details

Alloy617 is a nickel chromium cobalt molybdenum alloy with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, which has high-temperature corrosion resistance such as oxidation resistance and carbonization resistance. This alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in hot corrosion fields such as vulcanization environments, especially in cyclic oxidation and carbonization environments up to 1100 ℃. These corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties make the alloy particularly suitable for high-temperature fields. In addition, the high content of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum makes the alloy have good corrosion resistance in most corrosive media.

The application and characteristics of Alloy617 alloy:

This alloy has good instantaneous and long-term mechanical properties at high temperatures up to 1100 ℃, high oxidation and carbonization resistance at 1100 ℃, good welding performance, and is suitable for high temperatures and extremely high mechanical stresses. It is recommended that the temperature not exceed 1000 ℃. It is also suitable for occasions that require weight reduction, such as processing thin-walled structural components.

Industrial field: Alloy 617 is widely used in high-temperature and high-pressure equipment, such as heating furnace tubes, heating elements, catalyst carriers, rotors, steam turbine discs, forging molds, plates, pipes, etc.

Aerospace field: This alloy is used for aviation engines, turbine blades, combustion chamber liners, jet thrusters, etc.

Power plant field: Alloy 617 can withstand high temperatures and corrosive gases, so it is widely used in flue gas denitrification, furnace wall protection, high-temperature insulation, and cooling water circulation systems in coal-fired power plants.

Chemical industry: 617 alloy is widely used in chemical processing equipment, reactors, distillation towers, pipelines, and valves due to its excellent corrosion resistance, including organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, and salts.
