  Alloy50 is a nitrogen strengthened austenitic stainless steel that provides a combination of corrosion resistance and strength that is not found in any other commercial material within its price range. This alloy has better corrosion resistance than 316316L, 317, and 317L, plus approximately twice the yield strength at room temperature.

  
  

  It has excellent mechanical properties at both high and sub zero temperatures. Even under severe cold working or exposure to sub zero temperatures, the alloy maintains low magnetic permeability and exhibits excellent mechanical properties at temperatures up to 1200 ° F (649 ° C).
