  Alloy 28 is a nickel iron chromium alloy with the addition of molybdenum and copper. Excellent resistance to reducing or oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion in service environments, such as pitting and crevice corrosion. This alloy is particularly resistant to sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid corrosion. It is widely used in chemical treatment, pollution control equipment, oil and gas well pipelines, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment.
