  • 654SMO Details

654SMo super austenitic stainless steel is a special type of stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance. It is composed of high contents of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, and has corrosion resistance comparable to the best nickel based alloys. The nitrogen content of this material is twice that of 254SMO, and its strength is also higher than 904L and 254SMO. 654SMo has good resistance to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion under conditions of seawater, inflation, presence of gaps, and low speed erosion, making it a substitute material for nickel based alloys and titanium alloys. In addition, 654SMo also outperforms 904L and 254SMO in terms of high temperature and corrosion resistance.

654SMo is widely used in multiple fields:

In oil refining and chemical equipment, it can be used to manufacture various corrosion-resistant equipment. In the flue gas desulfurization device and wastewater treatment of thermal power generation, 654SMo can provide excellent corrosion resistance performance. This material also plays an important role in the fields of atomic power generation, coal comprehensive utilization, and ocean tidal power generation. The application scope of 654SMo is also in the fields of marine structures, seawater desalination, mariculture, and seawater heat exchange. In addition, it is also suitable for the food industry, paper industry, high concentration chloride ion environments, and equipment in the oil and gas industry.
